What I made

This week, I made a 3D printed fidget toy

Reflection

This week I learned how to 3D print and scan. It's exciting! It was fun thinking through shapes that can only be made through additive manufacturing. Scrolling through a variety of creations on Thingiverse for inspiration was fun! Think the key design principle is "enclosure": when few shapes are nested / enclosed within each other, it is harder to make them through subtractive manufacturing since one can't access the interior. I'd love to keep exploring these shapes and 3D printing more in my free time.
