Week 8’s assignment was to create a device using both digital and analogue signals for input and output. I chose to create an ultrasonic tape measure. I first drew a schematic, connecting a 0.91 OLED with I²C, an HC-SR04, and a button to an Arduino Nano. I then wrote some code and tested the system with a breadboard. The next step was 3D printing the enclosure, gluing all components, and soldering a wiring harness to connect everything. While it isn’t super accurate, it does successfully provide rough measurements.
