Laser cutting
This weeks Main assginment was to create a laser cut part that snaps to its self without glue I decided to make something that bends within its design and so I made this press fit bottle. The design is rather simple with just joints and a bendy section but it takes about an hour to cut the full product due to this lengthy time I did several testing joints for the bend and a test fit with cardboard to ensure the sides fit together. several problems arose when cutting including but not limited to, out of focus bed tilted upwards, wrong origin making the whole design mirrored, etc.
This was a super fun week and I think I learned a lot with my design stuff, I used autoconstrain a lot leaving roughly 1000+ constraints on my CAD file. I learned a lot of trouble shooting the lazer cutter and also to cut twice, measure once.
