WEBSITE CREATION

When creating this website I had never touched html or JS with a little experince with css in syling waybar. So, most of this was learned on the fly with help from w3schools. I chose not to use AI to help and only really followed a guide for the blinking animation so that I properly understand how everything works. The idea for this website was inspired by eDEX-UI specificly its hacker mode where it turns all green and black giving kinda a cool effect. Additonally nearly all elements on this site are based on percent so that everything scales nicely to different enviroments. Right now it works best in chrome, but is also great on firefox and mobile.

SNAP FITTING MODEL

These two parts were designed in autocad 3d which while I have a lot of experince in 2d autocad is most definately a whole other beast. The socket connection is just a simple rectangle with a whole cut and a fillet around the edge to guide the pin in. The pin is a bit more complicated but other than some basic press-pulls it is just that with a triangle revolved around it. Mostly inspired by pegboards and could in theory expand to make a full one.

CHALLENGES:

Autocad does not offically support parametric design within 3d so to get around this all 2d elements are heavily constrained then they just need to be converted to 3d which is really quite simple. Learning autocad 3d commands was something I struggled with at first but I just looked at the documentation which helped a lot additionally the title block is a bit wack as it is inherited from the TTS standard. Due to being the child of TTS it inherits their style while leaving a bit of white space left over.
